General Election of 2013: Results and implications

The famous Muslim scholar and founder of sociology Ibn-e-Khaldun (132-1406) said that people have religious (social construction) justification and philosophical argumentativeness in whatever they do or whatever they believe in.

I think political situation is not bad for the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) as we have overall good situation for the country. We should be optimistic as the process has begun to change the basic political norms and social structure. Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) is political reality now and it will prosper from this point Insha Allah and so will be the political culture in the country.

It is also good omen that we have one single majority party in the country and strong and effective opposition. In current circumstances, it would not allow fair-weather and self interest political parties to make use of the situation. I think this is the point form Pakistan will accelerate towards peace, progress and solidarity. To me Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) has gained a lot in this election as this party is political reality now rather than ideological myth. Now there will be more room for political parties to address the issues that Pakistan is facing right now.

When political philosophy and ideology find its roots then it prospers by every passing day and we will examine this in the land of the pure people. So the people who believe that there is no change needs to withhold the social process more closely and by applying scientific tools for that purpose rather than wishes and allegiance.

It is political process it will take time and to me the process has already been started, we have new political party on the national political landscape. So things should be seen realistically and optimistically. It is the political decision of the people of the land of pure people so we should respect it rather than coming up with opprobrium to each other’s ideology or political philosophy. We are ultimately happy that democratic process is prospering in Pakistan. Youth is now a political reality in the country so we need to converge on this point. Social media is the rising source in countries like Pakistan so it would be a game changer in the days to come.

According to Election commission of Pakistan (ECP) the electoral turnout will be around 60% in the country with Baluchistan among the lowest turnout province because of its deteriorating law and order situation. It looks as if turn out is very good in all parts of the country. Its healthy sign overall in the political process of the country, this is the time that institutions of the state need to make use of this political trust that people had on political institutions.

Political apathy is the menace and political participation is the panacea

Recently I have seen some efforts to make the masses believe that this system is corrupt or incorrigible. Though this message is right is its essence but the very purpose of such propaganda is to let the political apathy prevail among educated youth. Message is portrayed in such a manner that people should refrain from participating in the political process. Educated should cast their vote but also serve as catalyst in order to pursue others to come to polling stations so that we have a say in making the future of this country. Some of the reason why every one of us should be there at polling stations on 11th May 2013 are given as under,

Firstly, I think its the time to make things clear rather than create allusions for rest of fellow beings. Why "we" need to participate in the electoral process. If one doesn't vote, one can't complain about what happens for the next few years. So be the part of political process in your country.

Secondly, It's our basic duty as Pakistani to do whatever we can at individual basis to ameliorate the future of the country.  Don't we know how many people died so wan have our right so we could vote as per our wishes?

Thirdly, Voting is how the "country decides" who will be ruling class, or voting lets us know the "will of the people". so how when can deny the will of people a basic human right.

Fourthly, this is our chance to make our voice heard. So we should make hue and cry at the right rather than complaining at the wrong time. It is the time we need to open out eyes and minds alongside free will.

Lastly, many people believe and try to propagate a political myth that our vote don't matter in this state, because it'll go for (politician's name) for sure or certain party will be selected even if we vote or not. To me such political myths are never in the favor of state, government and society so being the true son and daughters of the land of pure we should take part in electoral process at one place and also persuade and work as catalyst in the shape of educated youth.
